Who is exempt from VAT?
A tourist who entered the country with a B2, B3, B4 tourist visa and presents it at the rental counter is exempt from VAT on the rental component. The visa must be valid for the entire rental period. Additional charge components such as fuel or toll roads will be charged VAT according to the law even if a B2, B3, B4 tourist visa is presented.
Do I have to refuel the car before returning it?
When returning a car with a fuel tank that has less fuel than the amount the renter received when delivering the car, the renter will be charged for the missing fuel according to the full-service fuel price set by law plus a fee for each liter of missing fuel at the rate set in the standard agreement.
What happens if I receive a parking/traffic ticket?
If you receive a ticket, you must pay it using one of the payment methods listed on the ticket.
If the ticket is not paid by you, Eldan will transfer the ticket to your name, and you will be charged an additional handling fee subject to the rental agreement terms.
For more details regarding a municipal ticket, you should contact the municipality that issued the ticket. For details regarding a police ticket, you should contact the National Driver Inquiries Center of the Israel Police.
