Eldan Transportation Ltd. and its affiliates (jointly “Eldan”, “we”, “our”) are committed to protecting the privacy of individuals including users of its websites, applications and other digital assets (the “Users” and “Websites”, respectively) and active or potential Customers (as defined below). This privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) has been created to inform you about how we manage, collect, store, and use the information you provide in connection with our Websites and Services.
Our Privacy Policy explains:
- What information we collect, and why we collect it.
- How we use that information.
- Your rights concerning the collection of information.
Please note that certain data protection laws and regulations, such as the GDPR, typically distinguish between two main roles for parties processing Personal Information (as defined below): the “Data Controller”, who determines the purposes and means of processing; and the “Data Processor”, who processes the Personal Information on behalf of the Data Controller. To the extent that such laws and regulations apply, Eldan is the “Data Controller” of its Websites Users’ Personal Information and Customers’ contact details required to contractually engage with Customers as well as any other Personal Information collected from Customers for the provision of the Services. With respect to such Personal Information, we assume the responsibilities of the Data Controller (solely to the extent applicable under law), as set forth in this Privacy Policy.
Eldan has a fleet of approximately 30,000 vehicles and operates more than 20 branches, offers its services to customers (“Customers”) in a wide range of fields such as car rentals in Israel and abroad, operational leasing, private leasing, refrigeration vehicles, vehicle sales, road services, real estate and tourism (jointly, the “Services”).
If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, do not use our Services and Websites or provide Eldan with your Personal Information (as defined below). If you choose not to provide your consent for the processing activities described below, we might not be able to provide you with our Services and Websites.
Information Collected
Please note that the scope of this Privacy Policy is limited only to information collected by Eldan through or in the course of your use of the Services and Websites. Some of this information may be automatically collected when you use the Services or while you browse the Websites. The type of information that may be automatically collected may include the date and time of your access to the Websites, the internet protocol address of the device from which you accessed the Websites, the domain and host from which you access the internet, your browser software and operating system, and the specific activities you are engaged in, while visiting the Websites (“Website Usage Data”).
Additionally, Personal Information is collected when you perform any actions on the Websites or in any other interaction with Eldan in any manner whatsoever. Such information may identify you personally including by your full name, identification number and/or passport details, driver’s license number, payment information, date of birth, age, email address, home address, phone number, place of work, demographic information, financial and credit, information, selfie photographs received from you, traffic violation information, information regarding your browsing habits, your affiliations with companies and organizations, the pages viewed by you and the location of the device through which you used the Websites.

In particular, Personal Information may be collected about you in the following ways:
- If you use our Websites, Personal Information shall be collected when filling out forms on the Websites, making a reservation, updating and/or cancelling reservations, contacting customer service, signing the rental contract, undergo automated identity verification, etc.
- If you are a leasing or rental Customer of Eldan and being provided with the Services, the Personal Information may also include information about the location of the leased/rented vehicle.
- In case you provide any credit card details, whether through the Websites or at one of Eldan’s branches, such details shall be collected and transferred to a clearing system supplier (Pele-Card Ltd.) and the relevant clearing company for the purpose of processing payments. Such payment details shall be saved by the clearing system supplier in accordance with applicable law and standards including the PCI-DSS standard. Please note, that credit card details shall be converted into tokens to which Eldan will have access with only limited access to the credit card details themselves.
Information collected via AI Tools:
Eldan may collect Personal Information using Artificial Intelligence agents, including AI-powered chat tools (collectively, “AI Tools”), on its Websites to enhance user experience, provide customer support, facilitate transactions, or deliver personalized support or recommendations. When interacting with an AI Tool, you will receive a specific notification, and such interactions may involve the processing of Personal Information, including information you provide, technical data, and usage details. The use of AI Tools is conducted in accordance with accepted industry standards and relevant legal requirements, and is subject to internal oversight, including human review and intervention where appropriate. Eldan implements appropriate technical and organizational safeguards to ensure the security, transparency, and accountability of AI Tool-driven processes. Please note that responses generated by the AI Tool are automated and may not be under Eldan’s direct control. Eldan is not responsible for any content generated by the AI Tool (“Output”) or for any information you upload to the AI Tool (“Inputs”). Outputs are provided based on your Inputs and are intended solely for convenience, operational, and informational purposes - they do not constitute advice or recommendations.
Use of Information
In general, we use your information (including your Personal Information) to enable your usage of the Websites and provide you the Services. Eldan may use the aforesaid information for, inter alia, the following purposes:
- Providing the applicable Services to the Customer;
- Providing the Websites to Websites Users;
- Contacting the Customer to facilitate the performance of the Services;
- Assigning traffic and parking fines and handling toll road and fast lane payments;
- Providing customer service;
- Facilitating future reservations on the Websites, including contacting Customers if the need arises;
- Locating the vehicle, in case of suspected theft, fleet management purposes or as may otherwise be necessary to protect its interests in the vehicle;
- Improving the Websites, its services and materials and assuring Users browse in a secure environment;
- Customizing content and advertisements displayed for Customers and conducting analytic and/or direct marketing activities;
- Research regarding use of the Websites and/or the use of the Services, including statistical analysis of sales;
- Collecting data on the quality and availability of Services and examination of products sold and Services provided;
- Conducting satisfaction surveys;
- Providing updates regarding deals and promotions, subject to your right to not receive promotional information as noted below; and/or
- Respond to legal requirements (e.g. request from law enforcement agencies) or any other legal matters such as to enforce local policies, to handle damage claims with third parties including insurance companies, to respond to claims or to protect the rights, property, or safety of others.

Lawful Basis
a. Consent
If you reside or are using the Services in a territory governed by privacy laws under which “consent” is the only or most appropriate legal basis for the processing of Personal Information as described herein (in general, or specifically with respect to the types of Personal Information you expect or elect to process or have been processed by us or via the Services, or due to nature of such processing), your acceptance of our Terms of Use and this Privacy Policy will be deemed as your consent to the processing of your Personal Information for all Purposes detailed in this Privacy Policy, unless applicable law requires a different form of consent. If you wish to revoke such consent, please contact us at dpo@eldan.co.il. Please note that revocation of consent will be possible only where legally required or technically feasible, and in certain cases, it may not be possible to withdraw consent that has already been provided.
Please note that the lawful basis for performing your identity verification in the rental check-in process, is that you have given your explicit consent for your Personal Information to be used for that specific purpose.
Furthermore, the lawful basis for sending marketing communications regarding Eldan's Services to you, is that you have given your clear consent for your Personal Information to be used for that specific purpose.
b. Performance of a Contract
We process the Personal Information for the Purposes set forth under Sections 1-7 above for the performance of our Services and to comply with our legal and contractual obligations. Collecting and using Personal Information for these Purposes is necessary for the performance of the relevant Services Eldan provides under the applicable contract. Failure to provide such Personal Information will mean that Eldan will not be able to provide you with the relevant Services.
c. Legitimate Interest
We process the Personal Information for the Purposes set forth under Sections 8-13 above to support our legitimate interests in maintaining and improving our Services, e.g., in understanding how our Services and Websites are used and how our campaigns are performing and gaining insights which help us dedicate our resources and efforts more efficiently. We also process Personal Information for these Purposes in light of our legitimate interest in marketing, advertising and selling our Services; providing customer service and technical support and protecting and securing our Websites and Services for our Users and Customers.
If you have used Eldan's Services in the past, we have a legitimate business interest in matching the data we collect with other data we have already collected, to personalize the content we send you, to make it more suitable and relevant to your needs.
d. Legal Obligation
We may process Personal Information for the Purposes set forth under Section 14 to comply with any legal obligations Eldan may be subject to, as well as for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.
Disclosure of Information and Transfer of Data
We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate the performance of the Services or any portion thereof, to perform tasks (e.g., without limitation, delivery, marketing, data management, or technical support maintenance services, database management, web analytics and improvement of the Services), to assist us in analyzing how the Websites and Services are used and for the Purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
Eldan uses third-party tools on the Websites, such as Google and Facebook tools, to analyze the use of the Websites for the purposes of personally tailored advertising.
In particular, Eldan may disclose Personal Information to third party service providers such as:
- Facebook, to enable Facebook’s Look Alike Service;
- ActiveTrail, for direct emailing services;
- Tvona Shivokit, for conducting satisfaction surveys;
- Emaze, for creating customized personal landing pages;
- Bump-Yard in order to contact its customers in various means of communication (E-mail, Messenger, SMS, WhatsApp) to allow for the provision of the Services.
- The clearing system supplier (Pele-Card Ltd.) and the relevant clearing company for the purpose of charging the Customer’s payments (see above).
- Credit Card companies for the purpose of charging payments for requested services.
- Re-port and Better-Way for the purpose of assigning fines including to parking and traffic violations.
- AI providers for providing AI tools as detailed above.
- Google Analytics and Google Tag Monitor are both used for the purpose of analyzing anonymous, statistical and aggregate data about the traffic and activity on the Websites.
Eldan also uses these tools for marketing and remarketing purposes on the Websites and across the Internet (with the help of AdWords), which may be tailored to your preferences based on the characteristics of your use of the Websites. Eldan uses the reports on network impressions on the Google Display Network as well as reporting on demographics and interests through Google Analytics.
In addition, Facebook Pixel is also used for customized advertising on social media networks. By enabling these tools on the Websites, the companies providing the tools (Facebook and Google) use cookies to identify your device and collect information such as your IP address, unique identifiers of the device through which you accessed the Websites and their characteristics, your actions on the Websites and the pages which you visited. The cookies may allow such third parties as Facebook and Google to identify your device even after you have left the Websites. The collected information may be saved in databases of companies that are outside of Israel.

Eldan may also disclose your Personal Information to third parties if you violate the Terms of Use, Terms of Rental, Sale Agreement, Standard Agreement (as such terms are defined in Eldan’s Terms of Use) and/or any other agreement with Eldan and/or its representatives or if you use the Websites to perform an unlawful act or omission or take any act or omission that may damage Eldan, its property and goodwill.
Eldan may share your Personal Information with various service providers and partners to enhance and deliver our Services. This includes sharing Personal Information with vehicle manufacturers, tracking and location service providers, installation providers, towing and road service companies, car wash companies, mechanics and garages, cloud service providers, maintenance contractors, outsourced customer services, customer service communications support and other related service partners. We may also share your information with affiliated group companies and business partners (as further elaborated below) who assist us in providing comprehensive services or when required by law, regulatory requirements, or to protect safety and legal rights.
Additionally, certain service providers to Eldan’s IT systems may have access to Personal Information as part of their general access to Eldan’s systems.
Eldan may engage the third-party service provider Au10tix to process Personal Information to perform automated Customer’s identity verification. In such cases the following additional privacy provisions might apply depending on the context:

If you are using an electric or other vehicle which is operated, inter alia, through an application or other online system, you hereby acknowledge that in using such application or online system, the importer of the vehicle, or someone on the importer’s behalf, may collect your information, the use of which shall be in accordance with the importer’s privacy policy that you are required to agree to upon downloading the application or using the online system.
It is hereby clarified that Eldan is not a party to the collection of information by the vehicle importer or anyone on the vehicle importer’s behalf and shall not be held liable for the manner in which the importer collects and processes such information. The Customer is aware that Eldan may have access to information provided by the Customer in the application or through the online system, and Eldan may only use such information in accordance with the terms and conditions set out in this Privacy Policy.
Eldan may also disclose Personal Information to its business partners around the world which offer or advertise our services. These business partners may also include companies of the Enterprise group of companies. When you make a booking on one of our business partners’ platforms, they will send Eldan some of the personal data you have provided to them. Similarly, we may send such business partners some of the personal data related to your booking and rental.
These third parties mentioned above may be located in countries other than your own, and we may share information we receive with them. These third parties may have access to your Personal Information only as necessary to perform tasks on our behalf and are expected to adhere to obligations similar to those in this Privacy Policy. We require these third parties to comply with our data privacy and security standards and not to use Personal Information for purposes other than those specified by us. When transferring Personal Information, we seek to use a variety of legal mechanisms, including contracts, to help ensure your rights and protections accompany your data. We aim to transfer Personal Information with appropriate and suitable safeguards in place.
We may transfer your information, including Personal Information, in connection with a corporate merger, consolidation, the sale of related assets or corporate division or other fundamental corporate change.
Furthermore, information about you or your account may also be released in order to comply with any valid legal inquiry or process such as a search warrant, subpoena, statute or court order. Eldan may disclose your Personal Information in any dispute, claim, demand or legal proceedings, if any, between the Customer and Eldan or anyone on its behalf or to enforce policies, to respond to third party claims or to protect the rights, property, or safety of any third parties. We will also release specific information in special cases, such as if you use the Websites or Services to perform an unlawful act or omission or take any act or omission that may damage Eldan, its property and goodwill, or if there is an attempted breach of the security of the Websites or a physical or property threat to you or others. The authority supervising such activities is the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority, and you have the right to file a complaint to it or any other relevant supervisory authority under and subject to applicable law.
Your Rights
You are entitled to exercise certain rights regarding your Personal Information under applicable laws, including but not limited to local and international privacy regulations such as the GDPR and other relevant laws. We are committed to respecting your rights and acting transparently to protect your Personal Information.
You have the right to request a copy of the Personal Information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your Personal Information you may contact us with a request, and we may charge a fee for such service. Furthermore, we want to make sure that your Personal Information is accurate and up to date. You may request to correct information you think is inaccurate and we will make our best efforts to facilitate your request.
Additionally, in some jurisdictions, in particular those located within the European Union (the "EU") or within the European Economic Area, you may be afforded specific rights regarding your Personal Information. Subject to eligibility, you may have the following rights to;
- Request a rectification of your Personal Information where the information we hold about you is incorrect or incomplete;
- Object to the processing of your Personal Information for direct marketing purposes;
- Object to the processing of your Personal Information where our lawful basis for that processing is that such processing is necessary for our legitimate interests;
- Object to an automated decision making (including profiling) in certain circumstances;
- Request the erasure of your Personal Information in certain circumstances, such as where processing is no longer necessary for the purpose it was originally collected for, and there is no compelling reason for us to continue to process or store it (for instance if such retention is required in connection with the Services or under any regulatory retention requirement). Alternatively, we may scramble your Personal Information from our active database, rendering it irreversibly inaccessible to Eldan; and

Data Security
We deploy industry standard measures to ensure the security, confidentiality, integrity and availability of the Personal Information we process. We maintain physical, technical and administrative safeguards, and test and update these periodically. We endeavor to restrict access to Personal Information on a ‘need to know’ basis for the provision of the Websites and Services to you. No such measures are perfect or impenetrable. In the event of a security breach, we will take all reasonable action to minimize any harm. Although we will do our best to protect Personal Information, we cannot guarantee the security of data transmitted to us and transmission is at the Customers own risk.
Data Retention
Eldan retains information for as long as necessary to fulfill the Purposes, to meet its reasonable business needs, or as may be otherwise required under applicable law. This includes retaining information to comply with legal and contractual obligations, in connection with potential disputes (such as maintaining logs, records, and bookkeeping as required by law, and preserving evidence of our relationship if legal issues arise after our engagement is completed), to provide and improve our Services and offerings, and to keep accurate records of interactions for complaint or dispute resolution. In certain circumstances, such as when litigation is anticipated, we may retain information for longer periods. Except as required by law, we may, at our discretion, delete or amend information from our systems without notice once it is no longer needed for these purposes. Alternatively, we may scramble your Personal Information from our active database, rendering it irreversibly inaccessible to Eldan.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction
