Confectionery "Golan"
Golan Confectionery looks like a business from the Burkes movie, it's hard to describe it otherwise. And all this nostalgia, of a pastry shop that was founded over fifty years ago and still sticks to the traditional recipes (and plaster), you get on a plate. This is one of the most well-known culinary institutions in Tiberias, and in the north in general. In the family business, they make sure to keep the recipes exactly as they were at the beginning, and the absolute majority of the customers are regular customers who take the same thing every day, and also do the special Shabbat shopping here. Oh, and of course the attractive prices of the confectionery, which are hard to find elsewhere in Israel, attract many customers here. But don't be mistaken by the price and the simple appearance, this is a bakery with the taste of a real home.
Simcha skewers and sons
In Tiberias, the food is served simply, tasty and hot. You will have a hard time finding fancy restaurants here with micro dishes and architecturally designed plates. That is not the goal. The Teverein are a warm, happy people, and one that loves to host, and all these qualities are brought to the fore by the descendants of Simcha Rahamim, who opened the place decades ago. The concept of "opening a table" takes on a different meaning here. Fresh and hot baked goods, salads of all colors and flavors, quality meats and the highlight - the simcha kebab which is prepared here using the exact same recipe from the establishment of the skewer until today.
Lotta
If you're still looking for gourmet food, there are a few options you should check out. One of the main ones is the Lota restaurant by the famous chef Assaf Granit, located in the Gali Kinneret Hotel and offering diners a direct view of the water. In accordance with the tradition of Granit, who owns a number of chef restaurants in Israel and abroad, this is Eid food designed accordingly, with dishes that change according to the seasonal menu. Here you can find traditional Tiberian dishes, alongside stars from French and Persian cuisine. In the end, it is a diverse and heart-pleasing collection .
China Chan
Considering the wide variety of travelers who visit the city, it is not surprising that among its many restaurants there are also quite a few good, even excellent, Asian restaurants. Sin Chan is one of them. It too already has a tradition of several good years, and is known as one of the best Asian restaurants in the north. Despite its name, the restaurant offers dishes from a variety of cuisines, and not just the Chinese one. You can also find here Japanese and Thai food like the king, and in an impressive design at a high level.

The rural experience is completed by the designed cabin, which makes you feel as if you are eating in the company of local cowboys. Don't miss the sunset from the seat, with the glint of the last rays of the sun on the waters of the Sea of Galilee.
Nika bakery
If you're craving a rustic breakfast in a boutique atmosphere, Shanika is the place for you. This is a relatively new bakery, in Kibbutz Ashdot Ya'akov Mauchad, about a twenty-five minute drive from Tiberias.
