Attractions for children at Ben Gurion Airport
Attractions for children near the airport - before or after takeoff
There can be many reasons for wanting to take the children to an attraction around Ben Gurion Airport, before or after a flight. A day of flying, certainly with children, is often a wasted day. You can't go to the schools (or they don't work at all), but if the flight is in the evening or at night, then there is a whole day that needs to be filled with an active schedule for the children. And it is precisely for such situations that the list below is intended. Whether you and your children are before a flight, or whether you need to get to the area to pick up friends or family, you may want a fun place to spend time with the kids, one that will add more excitement to the enthusiasm that already exists around the airport. It was also said that most of the places on the list will be difficult to reach with public transportation, so it is recommended to use car rental services in Israel (or use your own car) to get to and from the airport.

monkey park
In the village of Daniel, a quarter of an hour's drive from Ben Gurion Airport, lies a wonderful world that you wouldn't believe existed. The monkey park is actually a rehabilitation shelter, a place where the authorities bring monkeys caught illegally, or those who have been abused in one way or another. In the park they are taken care of, and their freedom is given back to them. There they find the right environment for them, and go through the process of reconnecting with the monkey community that exists there. Most of the monkeys are in areas that are not accessible to visitors, in order to allow them a calm and stable rehabilitation process. There are specific areas that visitors can go to, where you will receive guidance and explanations from the farm staff, and you will get to know the cute monkeys up close. This is an exciting, educational attraction, and one that contributes to the rehabilitation efforts of the monkeys. recommended.
the safari
There is no need to say much about the great zoo, the one known as the Savannah of Israel. The safari is an ultimate entertainment place for children and adults alike, and is only about a twenty minute drive from the airport. On safari you can spend a wide range of time - from an hour or two to a whole day - depending on your needs and your schedule in the airport area. Here you can see animals of many species (including the most exotic), go through training sessions, sit and eat on the wide lawns, and what not. There is no doubt that the safari is an excellent attraction for those who need to exercise the children before or after a flight.
Ariel Sharon Park
If you are not interested in spending extra money before spending on the trip, or want to go for a trip to a site that is not binding but still beautiful and full of possible activities, we recommend that you go to Ariel Sharon Park near the area, about a twenty minute drive from Ben Gurion Airport. You as parents may remember the huge mountain of garbage that was there in the past - the infamous "Khiriya" - and your jaw will drop when you see what a transformation the place has undergone. Lawns, lakes, walking and bike paths, facilities for children, performance areas, and even a diverse animal world. The place has become a flourishing site and a perfect recreation place for the whole family. Highly recommended if you want to stay near Moshe Airport in a relaxed, natural and fun atmosphere. You can buy food at the cafe, or bring food with you and have a picnic there (don't forget to pick up the trash).

Mini Israel
If you are about to fly with the children, or have just returned from a fascinating destination, one of the interesting places to visit is Mini Israel. Before the exciting experience for children, of flying into the sky and seeing our country from a bird's eye view, there is nothing like going and seeing things as miniatures, which will allow children to get to know the experience and our tiny country better. At Mini Israel you can find hundreds of scale models of famous sites throughout the country, as well as complexes of the Land of the Bible and the world of the Temple. This is an excellent attraction for deepening knowledge about the modern and ancient Land of Israel, and can add a fascinating touch to a trip abroad. The site itself is about a twenty minute drive from the airport, adjacent to one road, which makes access to it from the airport particularly convenient.
La Park in Holon
A quarter of an hour's drive from Ben Gurion Airport, and very close to highway 1 for those coming from the east or west, is Peres Park in Holon. Inside Peres Park is the Le Park complex, which creates the complete experience for those who need to pass a few hours before or after a flight. Bella Park has entertainment and shopping complexes, as well as a children's park that includes facilities, a boat lake, a green area and even a musical garden. In addition, events and sessions are held at the place with high frequency, so you can find out in advance what is happening on the day you plan to come.
