AWACS is the most advanced technology at the forefront of the battle to reduce road accident. The system is based on a sophisticated camera and processor receiving and analyzing data on the vehicle speed, range, direction, and location in the relation to the traffic on the road, some 15 times per second. AWACS uses the most advanced technology to warn of dangers that might damage the vehicle and harm its passengers.

The AWACS system sees, analyzes and warns of the danger of deviating from traffic lane towards the road shoulder or towards the oncoming traffic lane. Any dangerous deviation from the lane results in sound alert that simulates going over a rumble strip and demands immediate lane correction. In this way the system can prevent situations such as driving onto the shoulder or frontal collision as a result of straying into the oncoming traffic lane.

The AWACS system senses and analyzes vehicular traffic on the road and warns of the danger of not keeping the proper distance. Any car situated within the visual range of the system is perceived as a "threatening factor". At the moment the system identifies a situation of failure to maintain distance, sound and visual alerts are received, enabling the driver to keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front.

The AWACS system is alert and ready for whatever happens on the road – all the time. At the moment the system identifies a dangerous advance towards the vehicle in front, a collision warning alert is sounded, enabling the driver to brake immediately or turn the vehicle so as to avoid an accident. In this way, AWACS increases the chances of preventing collisions or substantially minimizes collision damage.
